220+ Five-Star Google Reviews Rated 5.0 on Google Trusted by runners training for 5Ks to marathons 60 minutes 1-on-1 with your doctor

You don't need another opinion. You need an answer.

Rest didn't work. Stretching didn't work. The exercise sheet didn't work. Not because you did them wrong — because nobody ever figured out what was actually causing it.

You've been told to back off. Told it's your mileage. Told to manage expectations. Meanwhile another training block goes sideways and you're still guessing.

In 60 minutes, a Doctor of Physical Therapy watches you actually run, finds what's driving it, and tells you in plain language what's wrong and what happens next.

What Columbus Runners Say After Their Assessment

5.0 · 220+ reviews on Google

I have been active in various types of weight training, running, and sports since I was a teenager… Dr. Hu listened to my history, evaluated all of my habitual movements, and exercise forms, and quickly diagnosed the root cause. He then developed a tailored exercise program to improve my running form, and strengthen the weak muscles… I am much stronger now than I was before my initial injury over 12 years ago.

I was experiencing knee pain due to running. The pain was so bad that it became difficult to run or even walk up and down steps. After working with Dom, my legs became stronger, and my knee was healthier. Dom's strength plan and suggested running regime helped me get a PR on a recent half marathon.

I came in with subacute hip pain that was impairing my ability to run, which was extremely distressing as I was in late stage marathon training. Dr. Hu… really took the time to figure out the root cause of my pain and build a personalized rehab plan and running strategy… I was able to complete the marathon without pain and a respectable finish time.

The Process

Getting Back to Pain-Free Running Is Simpler Than You Think

Our three-part framework, used with every runner who walks through our doors.

1

We Find Out Why It Hurts

Your first visit is a full hour, one-on-one with your doctor. We watch you run and find what's actually causing it, not just where it hurts. Most runners feel a difference before they walk out.

2

You Keep Running While We Fix It

No rest orders. No printed sheet of stretches. You get stronger where you were weak, and your mileage goes back up week by week instead of all at once.

3

You Come Back Stronger Than Before

You finish at full mileage and ready for your race. And you'll know exactly what to do if it ever starts creeping back.

Why We're Different

Know Exactly What's Wrong, Not Just Where It Hurts

Most runners we see have already tried rest, stretching, and a round of insurance PT, and still don't have a real answer. Here's what's different at Athletes' Potential.

We don't discharge you at "pain-free"

Pain-free isn't the finish line, it's the starting point. You leave with a plan built for your training, not just a clean bill of health.

You train in a real performance facility

Not a table-and-ultrasound room. Our space is built for runners to train and rebuild strength, not just stretch and ice.

You train 1-on-1 with your own doctor, every visit

The same Doctor of Physical Therapy, every session. Not an aide, not a rotating tech, not split attention across three patients at once.

Our Guarantee

Leave your first evaluation with a plan you're confident in, or you don't pay.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes you different from other PT clinics?
You train 1-on-1 with your own Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit, not an aide, not a rotating tech. We don't discharge you the moment pain-free; you leave with a plan built for your training, in a real performance facility, not a table-and-ultrasound room.
Is this covered by insurance?
We're a cash-pay clinic, which is what lets us give you a full hour, one-on-one, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy instead of splitting time across patients. Most plans are HSA/FSA eligible, and we provide a superbill after every session you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
What happens at the $97 assessment?
A full hour, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy: movement analysis, injury history review, and a custom return-to-running plan. You'll leave knowing exactly what's wrong and what to do about it, whether or not you continue with us.
How fast will I feel a difference?
Most runners notice a change after their very first visit. Full plans are typically built around an 8–12 week outcome, depending on what we find.
What should I wear or bring?
Athletic wear and the shoes you actually train in. That's it, we take care of the rest.
Where are you located? Is there parking available?
2125 W 5th Ave in Grandview Heights, with free parking on-site.
